I have been working at Development Dimensions International full-time (More than 5 years)
The people are all easy going and happy to help. Most people are there to help you succeed. Upper management is where that help stops. The company itself is provides perks such as summer hours and flex time. Working from home is an option for most. There is a gym, restaurant and market onsite. Parking available.
Depending on your manager, the work from home policies are "as deemed by your manager" so some folks get a lot of it and some are extremely limited. There is very little specific knowledge of what you need to do in order to be promoted. They are happy to give you what they call "stretch assignments" but will keep you out there chasing that carrot for years. There are many people who are doing work outside of their pay grade with hopes of a better position that never comes. The days of the success stories of people growing with the company from AA to executive are long gone! Recent layoffs have also eroded employee confidence and stability. Many people have cleaned out their areas in order to leave at a moments notice if necessary.
Advice to Management
Take a good look at how this company has evolved in the last 5 years. Even though the financial status of the company has not been thriving, it has been coupled by an extreme change in the change in the employees as well. The feel-good is no longer at DDI. There is no confidence in the future of the company as a whole. Bets are being placed on how long it will be before the new regime sells out.
