I worked at Dillard's part-time (Less than a year)
Good pay for a department store job. Weekly pay. Good employee discounts.
Extremely high sales goals which 90% of staff do not meet. This also creates a very cut-throat, aggressive, greedy sales environment. After about 9 months if you do not meet your sales goals they will fire you. They also hire a lot of young people with no experience or work ethics and management will yell at them in front of customers, but they still keep slacking off and breaking the rules.
Advice to Management
Train your new employees!!! Don't just throw them out on the sales floor. Be more selective on who you hire rather then just a warm body to fill a space.
