The pay has vastly improved and the partnership with Hammel Companies has really started to improve with newer equipment and improving on policies, processes and more of an emphasis on safety. The Dohrn family has really sacrificed to make things right with long term employees.
It's difficult especially at RKF to work on image and improve employee morale with the same people in place during the transition that have been running the show for the last several years that have fueled the divisiveness and instigation in the past. I respect our management but this aspect of improving things has been thus far overlooked. Benefits could be better. Advancement opportunities limited to a select few.
Advice to Management
Listen to your employees about what's really happening at your terminals. Most of us would run through a brick wall for this company if we had management that respected and appreciated your employees like so many other companies already do.
