Gaylord Hotels – Kissimmee, FL
Provide customer service in the areas of operations for various exhibits and shows. Operate attraction/event by assisting guests to safely enjoy… Snagajob
The pros of working at the Gaylord is the location and the ambiance of the hotel. It also doesn;t look to shabby on your resume', that is if you plan to remain in the hospitality industry.
The cons aare management doesn't care about the employees. It feels like a slaveship. There are to many personal feelings and relationships within the job versus the professionalism that should be evident. The woman(management...NOT ALL) are catty and highschool. I just felt as if I was in highschool all over again which felt horrible. Also due to inside issues the growth oppurtunities were minuscule. I'm glad I got out of there when I did!
Advice to Management
The advice I would give to the Gaylord National mangement is follow your motto and treat your employees as STARS. Be more consideraate of their needs and concerns. Don't be so quick not to listen or judge, and always remember there are two sides to every story. Meaning supervisors aren't always right. They are human beings who make mistakes just like we all do and are capable of being unprofessional, jealous and down right unjust.
