I have been working at Glassdoor full-time (More than a year)
Glassdoor obviously values it's own company culture to the highest extent, and with that, I would say I am extremely proud to say I work at Glassdoor. I work with really sharp people and individuals who try to push through bureaucracy and do that right thing. Pay is good, vacation is unlimited,, and a lot of trust is given to employees. I feel like I am on a team with my manager rather than it just being someone I report to at the company.
For the Account Management team (growth) there is an extreme pressure on quotas and it has the potential to hurt customer relationships. Glassdoor has really great solutions to offer to companies, however, leadership has to understand that their budgets don't triple overnight. On that note, work life balance is pretty rough. I feel like I never stop working. You do have unlimited vacation, but I haven't found anytime to take any of it....
Advice to Management
Understand that your Growth team is fighting a really tough battle. Be patient in growing business and allow relationships to develop. The quota is far too high and will only drive really talented individuals to leave for other companies. Quota design really needs to be looked at.
