I worked at Harsco full-time (More than a year)
The company has a global reach, but also has a collegiate environment. Benefits and pay were better than average for the Pittsburgh metro area.
Unfortunately, a lot of change in the short period I was there. I was hired to be part of a corporate initiative, which was quickly scuttled a few months in with a regime change atop the organization. The balance of the time, we faced infighting between peers among business units, as well as some indecisive leadership within our subgroup. I departed before the group was completely eliminated several months later.
Advice to Management
A long term focus would be helpful. It's damaging to people's future career prospects when you have them uproot their lives to come work for you, only to be discarded on a whim based on the latest boardroom direction. I cannot explain the frustration I have when explaining to other potential suitors why I moved, then made a second move in a short time frame.
