    I worked at Holland Square Group full-time (Less than a year)


    Enjoyable office environment. Very male driven. Out of office a lot.


    Very similar to being in a Frat there are roughly 25 men in the office and three women. Ownership is demanding yet disengaged 95% of the time from what is happening on a regular basis. Expects numbers but doesnt have clear vision on how or where they would come from. It is important if you take a job as an Account Executive here that you ask a lot of questions about the role you are coming into. If you are replacing and going to inherit pre-existing accounts this might be a role you can succeed in. If you are part off company expansion you will be asked to attain new business to enjoy bonus and comp pay. I assure you this is a 9 month task if even possible. IT recruiting is an extremely saturated market. This is a small and young company trying to push its way in where larger competitors have a handle on the market. Attempting to engage with new companies to sell IT recruiting services is similar to being a used car salesmen. The managers and directors at these companies receive phone calls, emails and every other type of solicitation form 8-12 people exactly like you every single day asking them to have coffee or let them treat them to lunch and they already work hand in hand with 5 or 6 already. Im not saying its impossible but it is difficult and the stress level is extremely high. You would be better off joining a larger and already established IT recruiting firm where you are managing pre-existing accounts. Another thing to remember is career growth is at a minimum in this field. You either decide you love this and do it for life or find out later that Sales Technology companies laugh at IT recruiters and AE's when they come applying for jobs doing software and hardware sales. They do not find it to be equivalent. Essentially while you are a broker you are a low end version of one. Your best next career move would be commercial real estate.

    Advice to Management

    Owner needs to be involved. Training is horrendous. Its essentially a few days of reading from a book they made a month ago. No real coaching what so ever. Finger pointing is outrageous
