A lot of the staff was very friendly, fun, patient, and open. The clients I met & worked with were also amazing. I was able to develop patience to an extent that I was unaware I could, I was supported through training for the house I was placed in. I enjoyed my job on a day to day basis most of the time.
Some of the staff were mean & unsupportive in the work environment, but because they were friendly with management, they could get away with almost anything- including sleeping through their (NON-SLEEPING) shifts. I wasn't notified in time to enroll for my benefits & as such never got them despite working full-time there for over a year.
Advice to Management
When you hear MULTIPLE complaints from multiple people about the same employee, maybe you should listen closely & put the CLIENT'S best interest before the lazy employee's. I was a very good employee & ALWAYS put my clients health & welfare first. I was dedicated & loved my job even if some of my coworkers were irresponsible and lax about their duties. I still feel very wrongly terminated, but have since heard from other former employees that this is fairly common. No wonder the turn-over was so great while I was working there....
