I worked at Hypertherm full-time (More than a year)
Descent work atmosphere. Had the opportunity to work with some very talented people. Good mix of lean manufacturing practices and old school tricks to get the job done in a quick manner with good quality. Team approach to problem solving. Managers aren't afraid to ask what you really think about a process or a plan that they are considering moving forward with. Opportunity to receive training and certifications. Great insurance!
Lots of time spent in meetings. Definitely some growing pains as they are moving towards lean manufacturing processes. Supply chain headaches were a daily reality. Pay was ok, but not where it should be for the level of skill required to do the job.
Advice to Management
Keep the family feel as much as you can. You don't need to have a meeting about a meeting for everything. Glad to see the 100% employee ownership move. Good luck!
