Flexibility in scheduling is the only pro. Other than that, you can forget it.
I happen to be a straight lady technician. Although i am cordial, but not all that friendly at work- i managed to attract the eyes of the store manager. He harassed the hell out of me daily to the point that one day, i just walked off. He just couldn't understand that i didn't want anything to do with him aside from work. I don't befriend or date anyone that i meet on any job. I've seen instances in which customers cars were damaged, both accidentally and on purpose- because of lack of knowledge and greed. Managers make percentage on what services are sold. And of course, if customers read the flyers on the wall- they probably wouldn't bring their cars there, anyways. I will never work for another Jiffy Lube, because they all seem to be managed by completely unethical people.
Advice to Management
Stop hiring delinquents as managers. Get some organization going on and business ethics. I don't see how my shop ran out of things every other day, literally. INVENTORY PEOPLE.
