I worked at K2 Partnering Solutions full-time (Less than a year)
Open office, start-up feel, snacks in office, half days before a holiday weekend, young co- workers who are usually friendly with each other outside of the office. They are very open to hiring straight out of college.
Where do I start? First, they claim to offer a training program, but in reality the training lasts less than a week before you are thrown out there and basically need to figure out things on your own. I asked my "manager" several questions to no avail, he never seemed to know an answer. Co-workers will step on your toes to get someone filled for a position even if you had been working with that client; they don't care. This is pretty much a one man for himself type of job; there is no team play. HUGE turnover rate. I recently had to use K2 as a reference when looking for a new job and NONE of the managers I had while working there were still there. All 4 of them (in an office of about 20) had left. Very high turnover rate for recruiters as well. They'll pay you to be at work from 8:30-5:30, but if you aren't there by 8am then you're considered late, and if you leave at 5:30, you'll be frowned upon. On top of this, starting pay is about 30-35k. Enjoy living in a big city making low income. The commission is a joke. For each placement you'll add less than $50 to your paycheck (which HR seems to mess up quite frequently). And last but not least, when a lot of clients hear that you're calling from K2, they don't want to talk to you, since they have had problems receiving their pay in the past, too.
Advice to Management
Provide better training. Hiring someone straight out of college will not learn this industry in less than a week.
