I worked at Little People's Landing full-time (More than 3 years)
Working with kids and watching them grow.
If you enjoy working up to 12 hours a day, never knowing when you will get off, with possibly only a 30 minute lunch break for the entire day, this is the company for you! Even though the company is licensed by the Colorado Daycare Licensing Division, they fantasize they are a "School" and are not required to give people 10 minute "consecutive" breaks every 4 hours, because you "can go to the bathroom whenever you need to!" Your hours are totally unpredictable and you never know when you will get off, no matter what your shift is. Child to teacher ratios are frequently ignored and the pay is low. Also, if you call in sick, even if you have the flu and can't get very far from the toilet they will tell you to come in and they will "try" to get you out as soon as possible -- which rarely occurs. Health benefits are a joke and the 401 K they promote on their website is not company matched -- at least not for "teachers". Be prepared to be over-worked and under paid.
Advice to Management
Pay your "teachers" a living wage. Abide by Colorado State Laws and give them 10 minute consecutive, mid-shift breaks. Your company says they "care" about children. How can you promote the idea of caring for children when you don't "care" for your employees.
