Great staff and faculty. Decent amount of time off, benefits ..

Not enough room for all the grievances, but here's the punchline - Aside from mass firings a couple of years ago; staff who have since left, retired or died haven't been replaced, entire department were combined which did not increase efficiency only detracted from it, to no fault of the poor folks who are stuck with overflow and arent trained properly. Not to mention the exodus of talented individuals who left because they were treated with such utter disregard by new management. No room for professional growth; open positions are magically filled without being advertised.

    Advice to Management

Either leave or pay attention. Throughout my tenure at LIU, I have never heard students utter the phrase "I hate this school" as much as they do now. I have never felt morale at such a low campus-wide. Attitudes reflect leadership.
