First, it would take you 4+ years to earn enough vacation/sick pay to cover 12 weeks maternity leave. They do not have a short-term disability policy. Furthermore, they will dock your compensation for the time you were on FMLA leave, by withholding part of your bonus for the time you were on leave (bonus is 25% of your total compensation. They do not explain this to you before you get hired or even afterwards. I would not have taken the job if I had known this beforehand.

Fix your maternity leave policy before the government requires you to.
