free meals, not much else to be said as far as the Grand Geneva. I hear that the other hotels take better care of their team.
Little work life balance for hourly and managers, the Directors barely work. they only show up when the GM is around then hurry up and leave. Staff is not supported by lazy upper management who only work Monday - Friday 8:30-5:30. Very high turn over from hourly staff and lower level management, pay and benefits are below industry standards. Every holiday it is required to work, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving, Xmas, Nye, Easter, Mothers Day. Nothing is done if you go to HR about the managers. HR is friends with all the upper managers I think they call themselves EOC.
Advice to Management
No one is monitoring your EOC team. They are lazy. My advise drive down from Milwaukee sometime unannounced . Get a room under a different name, go to the restaurants and look at the banquets. You would be surprised what really happens when the staff is not holding a good table for corporate or 4 chefs are scheduled for corporate. ( we lack staff and equipment every day.) but over staff when corporate is coming .
