Transparent - What the firm is doing, not doing, and would like to be doing is discussed frequently. Leaders are very open with numbers on how the company is doing and projections of future performance. Fun - There are plenty of social opportunities to hang out with and get to know your coworkers better, especially compared to a larger, more corporate company. Intelligence - Your coworkers are hardworking, smart people and the company isn't shy about transitioning out those that can't meet the demands of the job; which is done professionally and with no malice. I've never felt like anyone is not pulling their weight, staying home for no reason etc. If anything, we have to tell people to take a break. Compassionate - You are treated like a person and integral part of the team. The leadership is very accommodating with personal emergency situations that arise. I don't feel pressured to come in to work if I'm sick, and know those above me trust I'll hit my deadlines without constant oversight. The team is always ready to step in and help when someone needs it. It may not be everyone's ideal environment, but you get the feeling that those that have been here enjoy it immensely and still look forward to coming to work at this company, rather than anywhere else.

Work-Life Balance - Especially in the beginning, there is a lot of self learning, staying late, and/or working at home to make sure you get up to speed. When it gets busy, there tends to be a lot of people staying late hours to get everything done, and then working more from home. Also, sometimes feels like people need to be told to stay home rather than come to work sick.
