The employees are very loyal to the company and their customers. Pay is set by the Department of Labor, so there are few concerns about unequal pay. They have a good benefit plan including medical, dental and vision. I also like the investment options available in the 401k. I always felt like I could talk to HR (even the VP) if I had an issue.
Management didn't seem concerned about giving positive feedback. We didn't have any on-going programs to reward us for safe driving. Sometimes we got the impression that management was just looking at things that bothered them so that they could bring it to our attention.
Advice to Management
Create programs that allow management to communicate to the employees - more frequent face-to-face meetings; a regular newsletter; publish events that should be rewarded
