I have been working at McDonald's part-time (More than 3 years)

At our location you can get up to $5 of free food per shift. Other than that, It's borderline slave labor mixed with a little bit of psychological torture.

In my GM's own words "You get a paycheck, what more appreciation do you want?" I'm trying to balance work and college but it's pretty hard to do when you tell your manager exactly when your classes are but she schedules you to work over all of them anyways.

    Advice to Management

You don't have to worship your employees. But for those of us working 9 hour days, 5 days per week, hardly complain, go above and beyond to keep the restaurant running efficiently, getting yelled at and belittled constantly, a $2.50 coupon here and there is a slap in the face. It would also be great if you could stop promoting 16 year olds who have worked here 4 months to crew trainer when your dedicated, more qualified employees are still waiting to be acknowledged.
