I have been working at MedStar Washington Hospital Center full-time (More than 10 years)
Working in healthcare you feel as though you are helping someone in need. The benefits are good.
Management is the worse. They take a lot of courses to become good to great and they still don't know to apply it their teams. I have worked on both the management and associate side so I understand what it takes. If you are at MedStar and really look at the faces of the associates you will see depression.
Advice to Management
The company was a really great place to work years ago. Right now management appears to be more focused on the outward appearance and slacking on taking care of the people who provide the service. WHC looks good on paper but your associates are really unhappy. They would never reveal for fear of workplace bullying and retaliation.
