Multi-discipline engineering firm offered lots of interaction between disciplines. Learned much of other disciplines outside my own, which allows me to be a more well-rounded engineer.
Medical benefits were decent, but no Christmas bonus, very little recognition for work done. Once company went public, it seemed that all decisions were to pacify shareholders and not to incentivize the engineers who were actually doing the work to make money for the firm. It was after the IPO that the medical benefits dropped off as well as the bonuses & incentives.
Advice to Management
Bring back spot bonuses. Don't punish staff by witholding bonuses/raises/etc. of one office who is profitable because other offices are not. treat each office as independent entities.
