Norwest – Salt Lake City, UT
We currently do not have any openings for jobs in the U.S. at Norwest… Norwest
I worked at Norwest full-time (More than 3 years)
As a former junior level employee. I was initially paired with incredibly talented senior level employees who mentored me. This was very valuable. The benefits were good, including a great bonus structure. Company wasn't afraid to spend money to have the right equipment. When we were getting projects, they were great projects.
There was such a massive disconnect between senior management and lower management/technical staff. Upper management would imply they were going to take steps to resolve it, but then do nothing. There exists a strong "in" group and "out" group culture. Not much room for advancement if you are not part of the "in" group. The share purchase program is deceptive, at best. American and Canadian offices view each other as competitors rather than additional resources.
Advice to Management
Honestly? Please quit. Let someone else run the company. It is a strong company with a great name and a lot of talent, but everything changed during my last few years of employment there and it was not for the better. You ran the company into the ground.
