I worked at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries full-time (More than 8 years)

Total Rewards (benefit package, wellness, recognition programs) Facilities (beautiful work environment) Co-workers outside of HR Danish colleagues (the nicest people ever) A company with a respectable mission and purpose - you feel good working there Global opportunities (globally this is a top notch company. The US affiliate has a lot to be desired)

Management issues from top levels to middle and lower management. Blatant discrimination and unfair hiring and promotion practices. Favoritism and a sense of entitlement by those who have been in the organization way too long. Retaliation and career limiting if you do not align the way they want you to. This organization also promotes work/life balance, but in the US everyone works insane hours and treats all projects like a nuclear crisis. They take all enjoyment out of what you do even if you love doing it. The 2 starts for senior management is very specific towards the current President. He should be investigated, externally, by law enforcement. Countless acts of discrimination. Outside of him, most of the senior leadership team is solid.

    Advice to Management

The HR department has the worse culprits starting from the top to the HRBP who is the worst person in general I've ever meant (demeaning, dismissive and very self absorbed), to multiple mid level managers who should not be in the roles they are in. Proof is in how many people have left that department alone in 2015, voluntarily. There are people who would return if management issues in HR were addressed.
