No salary increase at all over many years - never experience anything like this in entire career. Top 10% of performers in a dept. get 1-2% salary increase - rest nothing ! No stock option grants No annual discussion w. manager over salary or performance. Management deceptive and elusive on salary expectations while the company and the execs rake in the profits and bonuses. No opportunity to advance to management Age discrimination The only way to monetary or professional advancement is to leave the company. Management very stingy on group cohesive events, if any are held at all.
Advice to Management
Don't be obscenely greedy, where the execs get everything, the rest nothing. It's a wonder why anybody would slave away so that Larry Ellison rakes in more billions - they do it solely for immediate need. People, especially younger engineers, will leave the company at the soonest opportunity. Schedule evenly distributed annual salary increases like every other company.
