I have been working at PULSE (Texas) full-time

There are lots of opportunities for training, and some departments seem to welcome opportunities for improvement. There are some very nice people here too. There is a sense of being in it together.

Efforts for innovation and improvement, though desperately needed, are stifled and killed. People are driven from the company for championing change. Ineffective, morale-killing procedures supercede quality work and efficient work. It can be deeply frustrating for experienced professionals and those who are accustomed to more agile, productive, efficient environments with opportunities for creativity and problem solving. The work has its own challenges, but the greatest challenge is trying to work within a rigid, ineffective framework and the "We have always done it this way!" mindset.

    Advice to Management

Embrace change. Evolve. It's time. Also, learn from those companies that are grown up enough to let employees be adults. You don't get quality work through micromanagement and rigid policing and constant reviews. You don't get innovation and process improvement from intimidated employees.
