I worked at Pacific Child & Family Associates (More than a year)
-Extensive, detailed training on ABA, DTT, NET -Most DSPS/co-workers are very nice -Free CPR training -Good online training platform (no problems with connection and site) -Families and kids are wonderful!!!!
-VERY BAD COMMUNICATION. I felt like I had to constantly call or email about everything or else I would nit hear back from anyone (zero follow-through). - As a similar post mentioned--I was promised 15 hours but received very little hours and last minute scheduling requests. -I'm adaptable but springing requests like WORK at the last minute (same day requests!) when I have other obligations (i.e. a family--MY children) is completely disrespectful of my time and effort as an employee. -Some upper management can be rude and dismissive if you request for them to follow-through on requests.
Advice to Management
Treat your workers with respect and follow-through on your expectations. The information you provide for workers is wonderful, but please do something about the bad communication and awful scheduling. Let your employees and fanilies know what is going on even if it might be bad news (i.e. someone will have less hours next week, someone cancelled a shift, etc). PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!
