Working at panera as an opener I was the first to have contact with bakers and customers. My job was to set up the display cases and package various treats. Everyone treated me kindly and respectfully. We always had fun smiling and making jokes so the time passed by quickly.
I worked with a lot of high school students who weren't necessarily the most reliable or responsible so there were many shifts that were understaffed, understocked, and/or disorganized.
Advice to Management
Try to mix up the groups of people of various ages on each shift. If you have adults and teens working together I think the shifts will run more smoothly rather than having a shift that predominantly one age group or another.
