I worked at Politico full-time (More than a year)

Overall, this is a company filled with ambitious young people. The new space is beautiful and it s well respected brand in DC. POLITICO is making an impact in the world of political journalism and are well funded so they can try new things.

To be fair ,this review is specifically for the Pro team where things are not as great.. This really is a shame because the company as a whole is amazing. In many ways "Yikes" review did a good job of laying out what was wrong. Read the response to "Yikes" a few reviews below - you're really trying to spin a cult as a good thing?? Pro leadership has a tendency to be very snarky towards their young rank and file while promoting a culture of backstabbing. Unfortunately, this is the only way you get ahead. Titles are inflated and paid is based on who is liked vs who deserves it.

    Advice to Management

Ask yourself if you really want to be a culture where you have to badger "directors" to write positive reviews on glass door. There is a reason that you're experiencing such high turnover right now - employees don't leave bad companies, they leave bad management.
