The tone set from the top of this organization is horrible. The senior leaders are distrustful of employees and do not create a culture of success. A governing board of paid volunteers rotate, who rotate thru the organization every two years, are not able or concerned with overseeing the poor management style and dysfunctional culture. Unfortunately many very talented employees have spent short stints at this place. The ability of the organization to adapt to changes in the photography industry and shifts in the way people employ photographers also makes it difficult for leading industry vendors to really support the organization.
Advice to Management
The board should really look at how the organization is managed, and have current leaders step down if they are interested in the long term survival of this association.
