I worked at Project Consulting Specialists full-time (More than 5 years)

Decent pay, good work/life balance with 8am-5pm workdays, and good group of people. Located in a very pretty office complex.

The micro-management. The quick "nice work!" email for a closed deal has nothing on the constant poking and prodding in person and over the phone when things are moving slowly. There are also policies in place that pit the team members against each other. This has led to many confrontations and a less cohesive team. When I started, there were 14 people in the office, not including the owner. They are down to 2.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees room to breathe and offer them support, not negativity. Get rid of policies that tear everyone apart and aim for policies that bring the team together.
