I have been working at RGIS part-time (Less than a year)
You can select your availability two weeks in advance giving you the flexibility to have another job or take care of any other business needed without incurring in absences. It's above minimum wage. Pay bumps are the result of your personal achievements, not their availability.
Sometimes you have to reinforce your availability limitations, because they sometimes tend to schedule you when you're not available. At some locations, (depending on how cooperative the Store Manager and their employee's are to the inventory) you might encounter difficult areas/stores to complete. You have a start time, but not always a predictable end time. (again, depending on the pre-inventory preparations and on your team's punctuality, attendance and productivity) Some inventories will take longer than estimated. If you have struggling team members, the rest end up picking up the slack.
Advice to Management
Enforcing the importance of pre-inventory preparations to the SM, especially to stores that have a history of poor preparations and/or poor cooperation could make things run a little smoother in the long run.
