I worked at Randstad US as a contractor (More than a year)

--Paid on time. --Received overtime. --Enjoyed the assignments and the clients I supported.

Where to start? I worked for the company for more than two years at positions I sourced. The benefits are close to non-existent. Not one paid holiday, vacation or sick day throughout the entire 24+ months. While available, health insurance was off-the-charts expensive. My recruiter never called to ask how things were going; however, I was regularly called by competing agencies to apply for similar jobs with the same client. I did apply for contract opportunities via Randstad's online tool and never received a single response. After my last contract expired and I left the company, I'd receive random emails regarding opportunities that had nothing at all to do with my skillset. Work.life balance was never an issue as I was paid overtime and was happy to get it when I could. Emails to local HR/benefits liaison went unanswered.

    Advice to Management

Up-level your benefits, or how about be competitive and just offer some? Find out what's happening at your local offices. Make an effort to connect directly with your talent. We're your customers, too. There are a zillion agencies in this town, most of which offer better benefit packages, and it's easy to shift from one to another. Improve your website! It fails to provide basic employee information such as HR or health benefit provider contact info. It's completely lacking for company that hires and places technical support with technology companies.
