Our office has a lot of helpful managers and specialists who are open to helping guide you through the products, company processes, and much more. The other reps are helpful and many of us have a friendship outside of work now as well. There seems to be a lot of opportunities for advancement if you are willing to work hard and push through the "grind."
Some managers can micromanage, but that's with anywhere. There is a lot of turnover in the account executive position because it's really a "weeding out" position to find who's capable of advancement and who's not going to cut it. You must be willing to get out there in your territory, take advantage of the training provided, and not be afraid of cold calling or competitive situations. Base salary is low compared to a lot of companies, but there's a rumor that may be changing in the next year.
Advice to Management
Take advantage of the training provided on the products and services and take the time to encourage reps.
