    Negative Outlook

I have been working at SABIC full-time (More than 5 years)

I have learned in short order how not to run a company or treat people. This experience has been more valuable than an MBA as I will do exactly the opposite of what this leadership team has done as soon as I find a new job.

I am told this used to be a solid company where people would build a career. It has been ruined by Saudi Arabian influence and culture and inept leadership in Riyadh. They have taken what was once a premier chemical company and literally run it into the ground, then had the sheer arrogance and audacity to blame the employees for the performance of the business. The current IP leadership team is also a shell of its former self in a matter of 6 months, and will do literally whatever they are told. Employees are screaming for help as they over tasked, people are leaving every day but the Level 2s refuse to listen. SAP FANNAR project has been grossly mismanaged and is sucking up every available resource and burning people out with a 24/7 schedule. KSA SAP IT team has made things increasingly worse. My co-workers go home at time in tears they are so stressed out. A reorg is ongoing and there has been no communication whatsoever. Top HR leaders in the SBU literally hide out to avoid talking to people. I wish I could award zero stars.

    Advice to Management

Please sell the old GE Plastics business back to GE, private equity people or the employees themselves. Anything to get out from under this oppressive rule and lack of real management skills. I have seen better management at the corner gas station. Learn to respect the fact that your people have a life outside the company. Stop treating people so poorly. prioritize what you are doing instead of trying to do 20 things at once. Bring in SAP themselves to fix your IT mess and wait a year until things settle down since you just can't help yourselves with introducing something new every 5 weeks.
