SRC is shifting from a small company to a medium sized one, and the transition is difficult to make. To be bigger and still successful means more bureaucracy and less "fun", and this is hard for some people to deal with. Although salary and benefits are very good, the opportunity for serious advancement is limited. For such a small company, there is a surprising amount of politics.
