I worked at STG full-time
If you want coast and don't care about career growth or accomplishments, you will like it here. Supportive of training which is unusual for a contracting firm.
State Dept in Charleston is a difficult place to get decisions made. Contractors/Consultants are not given clear direction, timelines, requirements, or commitments. STG culture is political, hierarchical, reactive, and disorganized. Difficult to make contributions or have any career growth. Arbitrary and strong micro-managing is rewarded.
Advice to Management
Provide a "safe" environment for people to succeed. Don't reward difficult people and demoralize your staff.
