    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Safeway full-time (More than a year)

Hmmmmmm....... They did have good insurance, but that is likely over. We are gearing up to strike soon, the company has offered nothing but cuts even though it made billions in profits last year. The hard working people are the only reason these stores run.

Managers are not trained capable managers. They are not educated in the subject, skills and nor do they understand leadership. You will work every holiday and be lucky to see a weekend ever. Pay is low, turnover is high. Do more, more, more, with less. less, less. Mild to mediocre monthly job threats, they are full of it though. They cant get anybody to stay because we are asking way to much and paying so little.

    Advice to Management

Stop with your egos. You all get switched out so often that its hard to take any of you seriously and it seems that you all are trying so hard to give yourself value that you have forgotten that you are there to increase the value of not only the stores but the amazing staff you have slaving away for you. Say thank you, make suggestions not demands, ask for things to be done don't TELL. If you expect respect you better give it. Know that 70% of the employed American workforce is looking for another job. Says a lot doesn't it. Says that we need a revolution in what we call employment. Obviously people are not getting what they need in return for your record profits. See your employees as the asset they are not the cost.
