The students and faculty are wonderful.
The management and administration are NOT educators, they are very limited in their understanding of what it means to provide educational services, they are extremely disrespectful to their employees, and the corporation is totally corrupt, basically stealing tuition from the student body by misrepresenting the school as a university when really it is just a trade school. The website is a marketing tool, not meant for the students who attend the school, and it completely misrepresents the facilities and services. Most services are supplied by one person, often unqualified--disability services being the most glaring example--and there is no adequate academic support center or career services department, and the academic advisors are completely unqualified. I would never, ever, ever send my children to this school. I paid as much for my private graduate school education which was stellar, this place is a squalid mess.
Advice to Management
Fix the campus buildings, provide student services, treat your staff and faculty with respect and pay them what they should be paid. Hire people who are qualified for their jobs. I was, but many people are not, and it trickles down through poor management and untrained educators. This was the most miserable environment I have ever worked in, and I, along with many, many other employees, was being horribly under-compensated. All departments are understaffed, the buildings are dilapidated, the internet is a joke, the IT and Facilities staff are overworked horribly. When people quit they are not replaced and their work is loaded onto someone else who already has a full time job for which they are not being paid fairly. Honestly, the way you treat people is disgusting, absolutely disgusting, and you engender no respect. Develop some humanity. No one cares about your profit margins but you, we are academics not MBAs. We care about the students and their success, not lining your pockets. You sure as heck don't care how much money we make.
