I have been working at Siwel Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

Great Salary, followed by great location in flat iron district. Some friendly people at the company.

Very bad management team, they are not qualified to be managers, but somehow they got the position. During my stay at Siwel, I have noticed that the management team is old school and some of them only held one job prior to this or this is their only job and they have been there for 22 years. With having one single job you will not have better range experience when it comes to managing a highly skilled engineering team. The truth is their lack of knowledge in technology will impact the company success to compete in a highly technical world. However, they are very blind to see that. This is why I do not recommend anyone who is highly technical join this company and try to expand on their career. You will most likely kill all your skills by entering this company and work here. Management thinks in the old times where punch cards where the state of art to input data into a computer system. However, they make their website all fancy and sugar coat it by pretending they know and have a lot technical skills on staff. The technical skills usually come by them reaching out to vendors for help. There is a major lack of career advancement. The yearly reviews are a joke and they don't really know how to review the employees. There is a lot of politics going on. Some managers don't get along with one and another. Not a healthy environment to be in. They might change, but highly double it, they usually say they have always done it that way.. This is the way it works for them. Their way is from 1970's.

    Advice to Management

Please wake up or you will be closing doors soon.
