I have been working at Sprouts Farmers Market part-time (More than a year)
The ONLY pros are that the other non-management employees in the store are all pretty nice, hard-working people. Some managers are okay, but very few. Sprouts does not appreciate the good employees, however, and eventually they will leave. The other perk as a Vitamin Department employee is free product from supplement and body care sales reps.
Everything else sucks. Low pay, no respect, terrible scheduling, hard labor, minimal to no raises (4% max), lazy managers, demanding customers, no benefits for part time, no support from HR, employees are an after thought. I am in my mid 40s and this is THE WORST job I have ever had. Terrible company. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I gave 1 star in culture and values because they talk about and push all of these "positive" values but it is all talk to brainwash the employees and they do not actually practice these values. Throughout the store, there is often a shortage of supplies needed to do the jobs, or equipment is not functioning properly. Safety issues everywhere. Management is all sales, sales, sales, but poor support to help employees do this well. Time wasted on inefficient procedures thought up at corporate level (which takes away time from sales!) Just stupidity. This job is tiring, stressful, and very low paying. The company portrays itself as caring about people, etc., but they are no better than Walmart...actually, worse.
Advice to Management
You will continue to loose good employees if you do not address the problems.
