I worked at Stifel Financial as a contractor (Less than a year)

Stress from a heavy workload is nonexistent, because you won't be "allowed" to complete any projects of any kind other than shredding documents, cleaning dirty desks, and arranging office supplies.

Where do I start? The people are territorial, they gossip openly and loudly, are underhanded and dishonest, and automatically assume you are there to take their job, therefore they will not train you, or clearly answer questions, or give you any projects other than cleaning things up. You will be micromanaged to the point where you are told that the way you speak is "not professional". If you do manage to successfully complete a project, the admin staff will un-do it and re-do it in their own name, You will be told to never speak to the bankers, as their time is more valuable than yours and you shouldn't waste their time, all the while the existing admin socialize endlessly and openly with them. This is hands-down the most unpleasant, most unethical place (with regard to how they treat people) that I have ever worked, and I'm very experienced.

    Advice to Management

None. My guess is that the admin staffs' attitude must trickle-down from above. They all deserve each other.
