I worked at Tangoe full-time (More than 3 years)
The Parsippany office has a Fuddruckers close by. This is only one of two in the state of NJ.
If Rip Van Winkle fell asleep inside a Tangoe office he would probably find many of the same employees in their current roles when we awoke 20 years later. He would probably find that the same employees have aged but their careers and salaries have remained stagnant. I noticed that there were many employees who were there for 15 + years doing basically the same job function for over 10 years. Room for growth is limted. It felt like time was standing still for us Tangoe employees while the rest of the world was moving on. Friends outside of Tangoe were constantly advancing in their careers. Cost of living increases, bonuses, employer 401K contributions, and promotions were almost non existant. Try Googling Tangoe Executive compensation and compare their salary progression from 2010 to 2015. You'll notice that they're not giving themselves the same 0%-3% cost of living increases that they give their workforce. I stuck around hoping that things would get better but they never did during my tenure. I came to the conclusion that there's no sense in trying to cope with a bad situation that's never going to get better.
Advice to Management
What am I supposed to say? Stop being so greedy and compensate productive employees accordingly. Yeah I'm sure that they're going to go ahead and do that. They're probably laughing as tey're reading this. Please don't respond by asking me to share my feedback with a general hr inbox. First of all I don't believe that you have no intention of doing anything about it. Second of all, I wouldn't be telling you anything that you don't know already know.
