Great group of people - really care about well-being and professional development. The leaders of the firm truly care about their employees and create an environment that fosters professional and personal growth. There exist many opportunities to learn on the job and be active in trade and civic associations. In addition, everyone at the firm is sharp and is a quick read. They are comfortable with challenging projects and enjoy working as part of team to solve client problems. Finally, the work-life balance is wonderful and many of our consultants have very busy outside of work in various volunteering and sporting endeavors.
Personality driven decision-making; regular need to put out unnecessary fires. Management, while very sharp, can make decisions rashly and create unneeded stress for the completion of a client project. While we will have weeks to complete a project, we may be rushing to a deadline as a result of poor time allocation and delegation of necessary tasks. This is an environment where you need to pick things up quickly as there is no formal training offered (thrown in the fire). You are strongly encouraged to seek out education that you may be lacking but you are expected to immediately contribute to the team.
