I have been working at Transamerica full-time (More than a year)
Ability to be innovative (to an extent), flexible schedule, enjoy my team for the most part that I work with. I've also had the ability to get involved in projects that have helped me in my career development. Most people here want you to succeed.
Although I've had the ability to be innovative, people are afraid to knowledge share because they feel as though if they do, they will be replaced (fear-based). Since I've been there a short time, I've seen and heard of a lot of people being let go, some with quite a bit of time there and at all levels. I only hear about them because of the level of my role and the people I work with. I think a general consensus from most employees would be that they don't feel secure in their position, ever. This goes for all departments. There have been a lot of re-orgs occurring in multiple departments, and this has also caused a lot of uneasy feelings and distrust.
Advice to Management
My advice would be more for the company than management, management is just taking direction from above. Start caring more about your employees and stop making them so disposable. Your more attractive employers are the ones who truly care about keeping their employees. This, in turn, will give you employees who care more about the good of the company. You have a high turnover rate for a reason.
