I worked at Travelers Companies full-time

the camraderie with fellow co-workers in the face of adversity and hostility from upper managements and cross functions. Benefits were ok.

Travelers used to be a good company to work for till about 3 years ago, management changed, processes changed, and changed, and changed. No one has a clear understanding of an Account Manager's role and thus they get bogged down with processes that impede the workflow. Management stopped listening to their employees and instead they will make up lies about you and your character when an employee speaks up about the wrongs and inneficient processes. Turnover is high amongst those who work for the company for less than a year, usually its because the job description is very different than the actual job. Travelers management uses "carrot sticks and whips" to try and dangle motivation in their employees faces. And demean them when the employees don't fall for the carrot sticks.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the Human Workplace, your employees are human, not mules, not computers. They are intelligent, thoughtful and for the most part. Senior employees know their job. Your arrogance is your downfall.
