TravelMax – Omaha, NE
I worked at Travelmax full-time (More than 3 years)
Decent pay and opportunity for bonuses. Most of the coworkers are great in the department as well as the other departments. The benefits are through Maxim, so they are really good. You do learn a lot. As long as you are on the right team, your recruiters and account manager will really work with you to get the clinicians through the (very extensive) hiring process.
You will be overwhelmed and you won't get the help and support that you really need. There isn't much training before you given a desk, so you have to learn on the fly. Your management might help you through a tough time, but probably not. You don't get a lot of time to complete a file and the workload is so high that it's extremely stressful. You pretty much have to work very long hours in order to get your work completed.
Advice to Management
Really listen to what your employees are saying. And remember what it was like to be in that position. You aren't better than them, you're just more experienced. HELP your employees...and I mean REALLY HELP them. Don't just take a couple of small tasks and act like you're doing them a favor. And don't expect them to have all of the answers; you need to be willing to help them work through and figure out solutions to major problems. And stop adding responsibilities to already overwhelmed workers. There is a such thing as TOO MUCH.
