Terrific and talented staff. Friendly work environment.
Chaotic out-of-control work environment. Constant fire-fighting. Weak middle management (not their fault, just over-promoted and not coached). Executive leadership changes every year. Complete reorganizations every year. This company spends more time chasing its own tail than getting actual work done. It’s chaos.
Advice to Management
Advice to ownership: Hire senior execs from the SOFTWARE industry. You are not a healthcare company, you are a software company. Also: Learn from what hasn’t worked – you make the same mistakes over and over again. That’s not leadership. Advice to management: Yes, practices and organizations need to change when a company grows or when the business environment changes. So don’t twist the organization into knots unless or until one of those two things happen. Reorganization is not a recreational sport.
