I have been working at Tyco full-time (More than 10 years)

The company has been around for a while and is global. This means that there are opportunities in different positions around the world. As a field service technician, there is a lot of freedom and flexibility. The work week is Monday through Friday and it is very rare that any day of the weekend is needed.

There isn't a career path for a field service technician. There are not any bonuses or moments that make you feel appreciated. The only appreciation that you may get is another day of work. Meaning that you still have a job.
