The firm has a great reputation nationally. Many of the partners are great litigators. Can gain a lot of experience in court, etc... as opposed to other law firms. People are generally pretty nice. The salary is competitive. There are a lot of opportunities for growth.
There is no work/life balance. The partners' actions do no suggest they consider it a priority although they do state it is a priority. The problem seems to be in the rapid turnaround of mid level and senior associates. There just aren't enough mid to senior level associates to do the work. The reason seems to be that Weil does not offer any alternative working arrangements (non-partner ship track, less hours, part time....). Or, even if they offer it, there are very negative consequences to choosing such a track. Its too bad because otherwise, it is a very good place to work.
