Large degree of autonomy in client sourcing, marketing programs, and management opportunities
Hands off management was preoccupied with administrative functions and unable to help teach/coach employees. By far the worst was the money game: account managers are on call 24-7 and the pay received for overseeing the temp work does not, and would never in any reasonable circumstance, break the dollar amount needed to make commission (think needing to earn $2,000/mo and temp oversight pays $200-$400). On top of that, employee sourcing lists were not purchased, leaving recruiters to "figure it out".
Advice to Management
Take the time to teach and coach new employees. Create an environment where employees can earn more than a base without committing 60 hours a week. Continue to purchase employee sourcing lists.
