There is a good benefit package, it is a rapidly growing company, there are exciting prospects for the Whitbread group, with aggressive expansion plans.
Poor basic salary compared to their expectations. IS Leadership Team is unpredictable. Working environment is poor - too many people in too small an area. JFDI culture.
Advice to Management
Stop expecting exceptional people for an average salary. Look at the culture of senior management deciding on solutions before requirements have been investigated & established. Get rid of poor contractors, instead of finding more and more ridiculous ways to keep them - even if they are producing nothing. (Hiring freeze = immunity for contractors, because they can't be replaced) Look at the current project stakeholder situation - single points of failure on many projects because they just don't have the time.
